With a lot of of the telephony services provided through KITS IT you have a very useful voicemail to email function. Here's a quick guide how to do it - it also serves as a handy reference for those of you that have founds KITS on the web.
The main ingredient here is the very handy set of star divert codes. Those of you that have my mobile number and called it when I have been unable to answer it would have then been greeted by the main announcement and menu system for my main office number which then treats the caller to a succinct list of options including voicemail to email when we're busy or when it's during the night and we're simply getting our beauty sleep...
So here's the guide - it will work in most cases (some operators may block some functionality for commercial reasons)
21 - divert all calls
Usage - dial *21* "number to divert to" # To cancel simply dial #21#
NOTE - use the international prefix when diverting a mobile, thus an example if you are in the UK it would be
*21* +441616541234 # assuming you want to transfer to a Manchester number of 01616541234
in Ireland it would be something like *21* +35314001234 #
assuming you want to transfer to a Dublin number of 01 400 1234
(with KITS voicemail to email numbers it would be something like *21*+443301234567# , where 03301234567 is your voicemail to email number)
The usage is the same for these other handy codes :-
61 - divert calls that you don't answer (typically within 15 seconds)
Usage - dial *61* "number to divert to" # To cancel simply dial #61#
62 - divert calls when your phone is switched off / out of coverage
Usage - dial *62* "number to divert to" # To cancel simply dial #62#
67 - divert calls when your phone is enagaged
Usage - dial *67* "number to divert to" # To cancel simply dial #67#
